A/P Administrator

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Administrator plays an important role in the financial operations of the organization by ensuring invoices are processed on time and accurately. This includes maintaining positive relationships with vendors and supporting Month-end/year-end closings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with accounting software and financial data.

Position Responsibilities

  • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies (1,600 invoices per month).
  • Address vendor inquiries regarding payment status or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues.
  • Maintain organized filing and record-keeping of digital accounts payable documents.
  • Maintain and update vendor records.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Produce monthly accounts payable reports.
  • Provide support during audits with necessary documentation.
  • Provide backup support for other office staff during absences.

Position Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting role (1-3 years preferred).
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with standard office software packages and relevant accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Education: High School Diploma.

  • Exercise good judgment and possess strong problem-solving skills.
     

The compensation package for this role will consist of a base salary, bonus and benefits. The expected salary for this role is $55,000.00. Salary ranges may vary based on location, market conditions, and other factors such as experience and qualifications. The final compensation will be determined during the hiring process based on these considerations.
