Molybdenum Disulfide

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), also known as molybdenite, is a layered solid lubricant with a crystal structure similar to graphite. This structure allows the material to shear easily under load, providing excellent friction reduction and wear protection.

Calcium Fluoride

Calcium fluoride (CaF₂), commonly known as fluorspar, is a crystalline mineral used as a solid lubricant additive in high-temperature applications where traditional lubricants cannot withstand extreme heat. Calcium fluoride provides stable lubrication in environments exceeding the limits of many conventional lubricants and is widely used in metal processing, abrasive systems, and high-temperature industrial applications. Boron nitride provides excellent high-temperature stability, strong lubricity, and exceptional chemical inertness, making it suitable for applications where graphite’s electrical conductivity is undesirable.
